In Warframe you cant just get stuff strait away, you have to grind. all weapons and Warframes (characters/classes) can be crafted from the foundry you just have to know where to get them. Although this game seem pay to play its more pay to progress fast. You can get anything you want you just have to grind, also if you use your relics (sort of keys for "special missions") you can get weapon and Warframe parts which you can sell for the in-game currency; platinum. short answer, yes, although it does have its drawbacks.

long answer, if you could look past all the drawbacks its a very good game that is definately worth a play. best thing was already pointed out by mrsnejmaniac. although you will need to buy the games hard currency, platinum to get some older "vaulted items" you can just as easily make platinum selling mods, and sets of prime items, my reccomendation to get platinum without paying up, sell stance mods. byfar the greatest part of this game that was a selling point for me, if you want something, you WILL get it, the game wont just hand over said item, you will have to grind for it UNLIKE SOME OTHER GAMES *cough cough* destiny *cough cough*

It's a grindy game like Diablo. It's only for people who have a collection addiction. PvP is okay. PvE gets very tedious. However, it's my type of game and I enjoy it.

Armor is a thing, depending on which kind you mean. There is cosmetic armor, which can only be bought with platinum, and there's the armor stat, which reduces damage to health.
