It's alive! Strife got a new patch 1.0.8 and it's definitely not forgotten. Changes aren't crucial, it's more like tweaks nad fixes than radical revision of MOBA genre. Here's a list of new adjustments:
Heroes
Increased Minerva Q cooldown from 5 to 6 seconds
Decreased Minerva W damage from 85,120,155,190 to 85,115,145,175
Decreased Minerva R damage from 150,200,250 to 150,185,220
Reduced Jin She W mana cost from 70 to 55,60,65,70
Increased Jin She W damage radius from 375 to 420
Increased Chester Q projectile speed
Increased Chester Q cooldown from 11,9,7,5 to 12,11,10,9
Reduced Chester W cooldown time from 23,20,17,14 to 18,16,14,12
Increased Chester E illusion damage multiplier from 0.2,0.25,0.3,0.35 to 0.45,0.5,0.55,0.6
Reduced Chester R damage reduction from 40% to 30%
Reduced Chester R duration from 10 seconds to 8 seconds
Reduced Ace W cooldown from 18,16,14,12 to 13,12,11,10
Increased Ace W jump speed

Reduced Eye of Tempra range from 1200 to 1000
Reduced Eye of Tempra projectile speed
So what's going on exactly, the rumour has it that S2 (devs of the game) is having problems. Recently the answer was given on forums:
Strife is still alive and we have no plans on shutting down. However we have had to come to terms with the fact that Strife has not performed adequately. So with the small team that remains, we have decided to redirect our focus towards other opportunities.
What are the plans for the future of Strife? The answer to that question could be surprising:
One part of our focus is on the release Strife in China. Our partner over there has organized an impressive team around our project and is continuing to work it's way through Beta. With their determination and good luck Strife still might have a chance to be successful. As of now, all of the work we do for Strife is to support their efforts.
