It depend if you want a modpack or just add a mod.
If you want a modpack, just intall tekkit (free) and download your modpack with it.
If you just want add an mod : download it and copy into the mod folder in %appdata%\.minecraft

the reason i wanted to know is because i am making a mod pack full of great things
it is going to be like tekkit but with magic and cloning

nesesitas forge first and then install it in the folder miencraft beras one mods there parpeta put the mods and ready
