I'm wondering some things about the game. But mostly does the pets help you in battle? And do you get gold for just killing or does it have to be quests?

there are lots of different pets, pets can loot for u, use buff items,help u with bank slots, alert enemies etc.
gold u can get it from mobs yes but normally u will get more from quests.
